The Danville Barbershop Chorus is hosting their third “Polecats in the Park” free concert at the Lincoln Park Stage on Tuesday, September 16. The program will begin at 6:00 pm.
“‘Polecat songs are some of the bedrock barbershop staples,” notes chorus director Tom Fricke. “Folks will recognize some of the traditional numbers, like ‘My Wild Irish Rose,’ ‘Let Me Call You Sweetheart’ or ‘Wait Till The Sun Shines Nellie.’”
There will also be some numbers from past concerts, like “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” and “I’m Gonna Live Till I Die” The program should last about 30-40 minutes. Those attending are invited to bring their lawn chairs, and there will be benches available for seating.
