OAKWOOD — Local residents won’t have to travel far to hear 12 hours of live music from an 11-band lineup — and for free, to boot.
The summer-ending Black Dirt Country Jam music festival is set for noon to midnight Saturday at Oakwood’s Exit 210 Saloon.
“It’s kind of a first-of-its-kind in our area,” festival committee member Perry Dable of the all-ages event.
This event will highlight the talented area bands and their original music.
“If you dive into their background, a lot have played with national artists,” Dable said.
The festival came about thanks in part to Homer resident Chris Lewis, who started a Facebook page called Black Dirt Country Rock.
