DANVILLE — A local abortion clinic that has been the target of vandalism and an attempted arson in May 2023, in which a Prophetstown man intentionally crashed a car full of flammable materials and gasoline into its building, is getting ready to open.
Affirmative Care Solutions, 600 N. Logan Ave., was to open Sept. 6, according to its website. That had yet to happen as of Friday. CEO LaDonna Prince could not be reached for comment.
According to the clinic’s website, its services will include medical abortion (10 weeks or less) and surgical abortion (up to 13 weeks); pregnancy testing; ultrasounds; advice and counseling; and birth control and contraception.
“We firmly believe that access to quality health care is a fundamental right, not a privilege,” states the website, which also notes that patients will be seen by appointment only, with no walk-ins.
