DANVILLE, IL… State Representative Brandun Schweizer (R-Danville) is announcing his Medicare 101 seminar series that he is hosting across the 104th District. Three events are scheduled during the week of September 22nd:
- September 22nd from 9am-11am at the Savoy Recreation Center, 402 Graham Drive, Savoy, IL
- September 23rd from 9am-11am at the Rantoul Family Sports Complex, 744 Murray Road, Rantoul, IL
- September 24th from 9am-11am at the David S. Palmer Arena (Civic Center) Room 154, 100 W. Main Street, Danville, IL
“I am thrilled to partner with the Department on Aging’s SHIP, local insurance professionals and senior services to put on this great event,” said Rep. Schweizer. “With the recent news that Health Alliance is ending their Medicare plans, it is crucial that I offer these events, so constituents affected by the change in coverage can connect with the appropriate resources. I encourage everyone who needs any clarification on Medicare to attend.”
The seminars are a free event co-hosted by experts from the Illinois Department on Aging’s (IDoA) Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP), local insurance professionals, and area senior services. SHIP is a free statewide health insurance counseling service for those with Medicare and their caretakers. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Medicare, ask questions, and receive insight and guidance on the many facets of Medicare.
The event is open to anyone wanting to learn more about Medicare. Attendees are encouraged to bring any questions they may have regarding Medicare. Pre-registration is not required but recommended.
