On September 9, 2025, Nathaniel Hardimon (DOB: 4/20/1985), previously of Danville, Illinois, pleaded guilty to Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 9 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be served at 75%. The People presented evidence that on February 29, 2025, officers with the Danville Police Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1900 block of Meridian Street. Upon arrival, officers located Nathaniel Hardimon on scene. With officers on standby, the defendant went inside the residence to retrieve his belongings and as he was gathering his items, officers were able to observe a firearm in plain view inside the defendant’s vehicle. The defendant did not have a Firearm Owners Identification Card. When the defendant returned, a search of the items he retrieved from inside the residence was conducted and officers located multiple baggies with a white powder that field tested positive for cocaine. Officers obtained a search warrant, and upon search of the residence located a large amount of
methamphetamine that had been packaged for delivery.
State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy said, “I would like to thank the Danville Police Department for their vigilance to look beyond the immediate situation. After handling the domestic disturbance, through the officers’ attention to detail, they were able to remove illegal drugs from the streets of Vermilion County. We are grateful for their service to our community.”
