THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
“I am proud to announce that there have been two promotions within the Police Department. Lt. Doug Miller has been selected to be appointed as Deputy Chief and will be assigned to Criminal Investigations Division. Sgt. Jason Jeffries has been selected by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to be promoted to Lieutenant at last night’s meeting. He will remain in Patrol Division on 2nd Shift.
Both promotions will go into effect on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. A ceremony will be held at City Hall Council Chambers at 0930 hrs, 09/23/25. The Fire Department is having a promotion as well but is at 0900 so parking may be limited.” – Chief Chris Yates
