THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
On September 15, 2025, at 7:12 PM, an officer with the patrol division observed 25-year-old Bryce Block of Danville walking near the intersection of Williams Street and Collett Street. The officer knew Block had an outstanding arrest warrant from a neighboring county.
Block was stopped and placed into custody pursuant to the arrest warrant. While searching Block incident to arrest, a firearm was located on his person. Block was transported to the Vermilion County Jail, where he was booked on his warrant. Block was also booked on the preliminary charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
The Danville Police Department reminds the public that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. No other information will be released at this time.
