THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CORONER’S OFFICE RELEASE
Danville, IL- The Vermilion County Coroner, Jane McFadden stated that an early morning accident at the intersection of Bowman Avenue and Poland Road on Monday, September 22, 2025 at approximately 08:24 a.m. claimed the lives of two men; a 37-year-old Danville man identified as Jeremiah M. Thayer and a 56-year-old Covington, Indiana man identified as Robert A. Onley.
Autopsies are scheduled and notification of next of kin for both men has been made. The identities were held until the next of kin were notified. No information is available as to the condition of the other man involved.
The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office, the Illinois State Police and Vermilion County Coroner’s office continue to investigate.
