The village of Muncie will celebrate its 150th birthday, as well as the start of fall, with the Muncie Acorn Festival this weekend. Both entry and parking are free at the festival at the Muncie ballpark Saturday and Sunday. Here’s more from Julie Wahls of the event planning committee, via Jennifer Bailey:
1 The 5th annual festival is about promoting community togetherness. “This is a great opportunity for residents from Muncie and all communities to expand our community connection and relax at a family-friendly festival,” Wahls said.
2 “We will have some mementos of Muncie history on display” as part of Muncie’s 150th anniversary celebration. “We will have a yearbook for attendees to sign and will be accepting notes for the future and photos and small items for a time capsule to be opened in 2075.”
