TILTON — At the start of the year, it appeared a car dealership could be moving from Danville to Tilton.
However, the project is now on hold, according to the dealership owner.
Patriot Motors on North Vermilion Street — a dealership for Honda and Hyundai — had been looking to relocate to Tilton, with plans to potentially separate into two dealerships and expand into an auto mall, according to owner Shawn Kohli.
Construction was to start by summer, he had said earlier this year.
On Wednesday, however, Kohli said the project is “on pause.”
The Tilton Village Board approved an economic incentive agreement for the two dealerships in January. However, according to Tilton Mayor Billy Wear, the village board has now voted to exit that agreement because of a lack of communication from Kohli.
