THE FOLLOWING IS A NORTH RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL RELEASE
North Ridge Middle school held the first ever Drumlines & Darkness Drumline Battle. This fundraiser raised over $2,000 to fix current percussion equipment for the students. It was student designed and written with direction from everyone’s favorite band director Adam Owens. The event was so well attended, the line wrapped around the lobby and out to the parking lot.

Despite the larger than expected crowd, the students showed no nerves and put on a great show. Special mentions go to DHS and Meade Park for bringing their drumlines. All the votes are in and THERE IS A TIE! Students from 5th (Purge) and 6th (Halloween Beach Party) hours will compete in a tie breaker for the prize of a trip to ELEVATE jump park.
ALSO: The Meade Park elementary band led by Khalar Drews was able to put on a mini-drumline guest performance thanks to a grant he received from the Danville Public School Foundation.
