DANVILLE — A fallen tree was the culprit of several thousand Ameren Illinois customers losing power Wednesday night.
According to an Ameren representative, “a tree came down on one of our lines near the lake and knocked out power to several of our substations. The outage started around 10 p.m. and 5,100 customers were out. We were able to do some switching and have all customers restored at 11:39 p.m.”
