THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT RELEASE
Do we really swallow spiders in our sleep? Can the full moon alter human behavior? And who – or what – was the Enfield Monster?
Come out to Kennekuk County Park on Wednesday, October 8 from 6-7:30pm to find the answers to these questions and more as we learn about famous Illinois cryptids, and Illinois wildlife myths and lore. The evening will begin with a presentation inside the Kennekuk Education Center followed by a guided hike outside under an almost full moon sky.
Registration is limited for this event at $5/person so be sure to sign up before space fills at https://NatNMyths.eventbrite.com. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult. For questions or more information, please contact Lara Danzl at ldanzl@vccd.org, 217-442-1691.
Kennekuk County Park is located at 22296 Henning Road, Danville, IL 61834.
