DANVILLE — It’s that time of year again to get ready for the Festival of Trees.
Make sure you’re in line or have those fingers ready on your computer, as special event tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the David S. Palmer Arena box office and online at www.festivaloftreesdanville.com. Tickets are not available by telephone the first day of sales.
Some events sell out early, says Event Coordinator Pat O’Shaughnessy.
Last year, the Princess Tea Party sold out in 45 minutes.
The dinosaur-themed Prehistoric Pit Stop Breakfast with Santa, Ladies Luncheon and two glow bingos (one for families and another one for adults) also are popular.
The 29th Festival of Trees will be Nov. 15-19. The theme is “Jingle All the Way.”
Net proceeds from the Festival of Trees and Balloons Over Vermilion hot air balloon event, put on by the non-profit Balloons Over Vermilion organization, are awarded back to the community through Community Impact Awards. Since 2017, $685,000 has been given out to local Vermilion County organizations assisting children and families throughout the year.
