Prior to Tuesday’s after school practice, Director of Bands at Danville High School Ryan Krapf said this is a big weekend statewide for band competitions; and the show goes on in Danville as well.
AUDIO: We’re on a weekend where there’s about five other contests going on, one of them being the state contest. So, the ones that come back are ones that join us regularly. So, we’re excited to have them all come back.

Krapf says if there’s one school to beat, it’s Mount Carmel. And for the record; that’s down state’s Mount Carmel, not the Chicago area’s.
AUDIO: The director at Mount Carmel is a master teacher. She’s a wonderful educator; they’ve got a great program there. They always come back here every year and do very well.
