With Festival of Trees, and this year’s theme of “Jingle All the Way” set to run at the David S. Palmer Arena November 15th through the 19th, it’s time for getting tickets to all those special Festival of Trees events, such as the Princess Tea Party. Tickets go on sale at 10 AM Tuesday, October 14th at both the Palmer Arena box office, and online at www.festivaloftreesdanville.com.
On a recent episode of D102’s The Big Show, Tommy B spoke with Jana Goodwin and Pat O’Shaughnessy about Festival of Trees’ 29-year hold on the hearts of many.
AUDIO: (Jana) We’ve got an over abundance of designers, which is wonderful. We have a ton of sponsors right now; and new sponsors. And it’s just amazing, the volunteers that still come out to help. (Pat) They grabbed it from the beginning, and it’s just been solid ever since. We’ve got sponsors that have been with us 29 years, if you can believe that. We had our designer open house last week, and I always ask “how many have designed for 29 years?” And you’d be surprised how many hands go up; 29 years of designing for a tree Festival of Trees.
