THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville, IL – On November 3, 2025, the Danville Police Department responded to a report of a phone-in threat involving a possible school shooting directed at an unidentified Danville school. Officers immediately initiated an investigation in coordination with the Danville School District.
Through investigative efforts, the threat was determined to be not credible and originated from a location outside of Danville. There was no immediate danger to students, staff, or the community.
The Danville Police Department maintained close communication with school officials throughout the investigation. Out of an abundance of caution, appropriate safety measures were taken, and classes have since resumed as normal.
