THE FOLLOWING IS A CARLE HEALTH RELEASE
URBANA, IL – On Saturday, Nov. 15, Convenient Care Plus at Carle Foundation Hospital (CFH) will relocate to the Carle Urbana South Clinic building on the hospital campus, 601 W. University Ave. – Urbana, IL 6180.
To accommodate this move, Convenient Care Plus services will end at 10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13. Services will be closed all day on Friday, Nov. 14, then open Nov. 15 at 7 a.m. in the South Clinic and resume services as normal. Alternative Convenient Care options are available at Carle Champaign on Curtis and Carle Urbana on Windsor.
This shift is part of ongoing efforts to improve access to care, allowing for the expansion of the CFH Emergency Department, one of the busiest in the state, while ensuring the hospital can still provide convenient care services in Urbana. The new Convenient Care Plus space also provides more room to accommodate for patient needs, increasing access to urgent care services. Carle Health remains committed to supporting patients with high-quality care at the level of care they need.
Convenient Care Plus will continue its established hours, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., after moving to the South Clinic. Patients seeking care at Convenient Care Plus on or after Nov. 15 can park in the South Garage on McCullough Ave.
Convenient Care Plus at Carle Foundation Hospital provides walk-in and online scheduled appointments for:
- Cold or flu symptoms
- Earache
- Minor allergic reactions
- Sprains and strains
- Moderate abdominal pain
- Moderate back pain
- Injuries that may require additional radiology imaging
- Illnesses that may require additional lab testing
