It was a cold Friday night for Downtown Danville’s Night of Lights Parade but crowds of people were already going inside the Fischer for hot cocoa and finding their watching spots along North Vermilion an hour beforehand; including Matt and Danielle from Westville and their three young kids, stationed at the northwest corner of Vermilion and North.
Just on the other side of North Street, there sat Audrey and young Damion keeping warm, in the same spot they watch from every year.
Inside the Fischer, we found Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr; getting ready to go behind the microphone and call the parade.
