DANVILLE — The donors at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center make all the difference for special touches around the hospital.
This week, it was foundation donor Sara Snyder meeting the need of the hospital for a manger for its lobby Nativity set.
Mayor Gifts Officer Debbie Michenfelder, who oversees the foundation, said, “Sara has always been a very generous donor to the hospital.”
They have lunches regularly together, and Snyder again asked if there were any special needs for the hospital.
Michenfelder had told her that with the holidays coming up, they have this beautiful Nativity set, but they need a manger. They wanted to find someone to build a manger to fit the Nativity.
“Sara said, ‘I’ll do it,” and that’s how it started,” Michenfelder said.
