TILTON — When the recent snow took down part of the fascia on 90-year-old Korean War veteran David Levite’s home, it was quite the unexpected surprise.
“It shook the whole house when it came down,” Levite said.
Now he is looking for a good Samaritan to help him out and fix it.
Levite lives on South Washington Street in Tilton.
He was married for 57 years, with his wife, Patricia, passing away in 2015.
Now, Don Moore, a Vietnam veteran, lives with him.
Levite said the ice had built up in the roof eave and took the fascia all off the north side of his home Saturday morning.
He said he’s checked with his insurance company, and he has a $1,000 deductible.
But he knows the fix will cost more than that to put it back up or fix it with a new one.
“I can’t get out there and mess with it,” Levite said.
