THE FOLLOWING IS A CRIS RURAL MASS TRANSIT RELEASE
Effective Friday, January 2, 2026 at 6:30 PM; CRIS Rural Mass Transit will no longer be offering rides in Vermilion, Ford, and Iroquois Counties.
It is with extreme sorrow that we announce the dissolution of CRIS RURAL MASS TRANSIT. Due to a decision by IDOT to freeze our funds, CRIS Rural Mass Transit cannot continue to operate.
Because of this circumstance, we have listed on our website alternative transportation services to accommodate our constituents. Please refer to www.ruraltransits.org.
For those who have paid in advance for rides, we will provide reimbursements. We want our constituents to please be advised that future rides will be cancelled. We are very sorry for this inconvenience and wish our riders well.
