Danville, Illinois – Search for owls under a full moon at the Moonlight Owl Prowl on Sunday, February 1, 2026!
It may be cold outside, but the winter months are a busy time for Vermilion County owls with their breeding and nesting season. This program will begin with an indoor presentation about owls and their adaptations, followed by a short hike outside for a chance to see or hear them.
Registration is $5/person at https://MoonlightOwlProwl.eventbrite.com. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will meet at the Kennekuk Education Center, Kennekuk County Park, 22296 Henning Road, Danville, IL. For more information, please call 217-442-1691.
