Pixels & Pages: Winter Reading Challenge! From January 5 to February 16, log your reading in the Beanstack app or at danvillepubliclibrary.beanstack.org to unlock prizes for all ages. Make this winter unforgettable. Game On. Happy Reading! Rubber Ducky Readers: Join this fun Beanstack Challenge! For every 10 books read, the child will get a rubber duck, every 100 books equal a book, a sticker and a certificate, 1000 books equal a goody bag filled with a book, a sticker, a completion certificate, a stuffed animal, a blow-up rubber duck, etc. This challenge is for ages 0-6. This program is made possible through a partnership with the University of Illinois Extension Office. This month, we will be learning about growing garlic! 4:30 PM in the Program Room. January 20: Teen Crafternoons. Tuesdays = your creative time. Hang out and make cool stuff. No sign-up, no stress. Just show up and create something awesome! This week: Air-Dry Clay – shape, sculpt, and bring your ideas to life. While supplies last. 3:30 – 4:30 PM in the 2nd Floor Teen Space. Ages 13-19. January 20: Tween It! Tuesdays. Fun programs for tweens each Tuesday. This week: BINGO! Come play Bingo and win prizes. 5:00 PM in the Program Room. Ages 8-12. January 20: Wee Wigglers Story Time. Join us for action rhymes, stories, and songs for children ages 5 and under. Tuesdays at 10:00 am in the Program Room. January 21: Teen Writing Club. Come write, chill, and connect. No pressure – just good vibes, cool ideas, and a space to be creative. Journals and pens will be provided for our teen writers, along with writing prompts and snacks to fuel your mind. Every Wednesday, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm in the 2nd Floor Teen Space. January 22: Lit Fit with Mandy. Join us Thursdays for a dance fitness series that’s as fun as your favorite book. All fitness levels welcome – just bring your water bottle and wear clothes that can handle your best moves! 3:00 – 4:00 PM in the Program Room. January 22: Teen “Movie Theater” Thursdays! Grab your friends and come chill at the library for a movie night featuring picks from our collection. Big Screen, Free Snacks, Your kind of movies! Every 4th Thursday of the Month. 4:30 – 6:45 PM in the Howard Rutan Meeting Room. Ages 13-19. January 24: Story Time. Have a great time listening, interacting to stories and making a fun craft! Saturdays at 11:00 AM in the Children’s Department. Adult Craft: Stop by the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor for a take & make craft! Decorate your own mug this January. While supplies last.
