At roughly 8:17 AM Monday morning (Jan 12th), Danville Police say a Chevrolet Equinox heading westbound on West Seminary ran the stoplight at West Seminary and North Gilbert; and collided into the side of the Aqua office building located at 322 N Gilbert St. The vehicle was roughly ¾ of the way emerged into the office building. Nobody was hurt, though there is extensive damage to the building inside and outside. The 47-year-old female driver stated she was not paying attention and may have fallen asleep, and was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
Aqua closed the office for the day, but they expect to be opened back up tomorrow (Tues Jan 13th) morning. All other operations are business as usual.
