THE FOLLOWING IS AN NAACP – DANVILLE BRANDH #3009 RELEASE
To commemorate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on January the 19th the Danville Branch of the NAACP will lead a March in the form of a motorcade.
Participants are invited to gather at 9:30 a.m. on the south corner of Gilbert and Logan. The group will march or ride in their cars down Main to Vermilion, turn east on Seminary Street, and then go north to Jackson Street and stop at the Rev. Dr. MLK Memorial on the corner of Jackson and William Street.
At the memorial, Reverend Frank McCullough will lead the participants in a prayer and a short talk about Dr. King.
