Despite the extreme cold conditions on Monday morning, the scheduled Danville Chapter of NAACP’s Martin Luther King, Jr Day motorcade went on as scheduled.
Participants began gathering at 9:30 AM on the south corner of Gilbert and Logan. The motorcade took off at 10 AM, as participants guided their cars down Main to Vermilion, turned east on Seminary Street, and then headed north on Jackson Street; stopping at the Rev. Dr. MLK Memorial on the corner of Jackson and Williams Streets.
