That’s number one. Number two is to provide some on-going funding support for the operations of that center as well.”}
Danville Community Development Administrator Logan Cronk says the city met with the Rescue Mission Board early last week. He said it is estimated it would cost between $1.7 to $2.3 million dollars to get their former shelter site at Bowman and Fairchild renovated. He said the estimated cost of renovating the current Rescue Mission – at the former Dayspring Center on Bowman Avenue is between $120-thousand and $200-thousand dollars. No action was taken on funding the shelter.
