THE FOLLOWING IS A LORRAINE THEATRE RELEASE
After a scheduled week-long closure to install new auditorium furnaces, the Lorraine Theatre proudly reopens today 1/28 with a One‑Day showing of David at 7:00 PM. Tomorrow, the theatre continues its 2026 lineup with the opening of Send Help.

This latest improvement marks another major renovation completed through the dedication, expertise, and hands-on work of the Lorraine Foundation’s volunteers. The new furnace system was designed and installed by Foundation board member Eric Houmes, with additional labor provided by fellow board members. By completing the installation in-house, the theatre saved more than $20,000, continuing a tradition of volunteer-driven projects. The previous furnace units had served the Lorraine for more than 30 years and had reached a point beyond repair. The project was funded in part by a generous donation from Ryan, Megan, and Faith Anderson of Anderson Funeral Home, longtime supporters of the theatre. We remain committed to ongoing improvements that enhance the moviegoing experience and ensure the theatre thrives for generations to come.

With the furnace installation complete, the Lorraine looks ahead to an exciting year of films, including Hoppers, The Mandalorian and Grogu, Toy Story 5, Supergirl, Avengers: Doomsday, and many more. Moviegoers can stay up to date on showtimes and announcements at LorraineTheatre.com.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art laser projector and Dolby Atmos surround sound, the Lorraine Theatre continues to deliver a premium cinematic experience at an affordable price – living up to its reputation as “The Best Place for Movies.
