People v. Kyle Blackburn 2024-CF-865
On February 3, 2026, Kyle Blackburn (DOB:10/23/1985), formerly of Danville, Illinois, pleaded guilty to Methamphetamine Delivery, a class 1 felony and was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Following his term of imprisonment, Blackburn will serve one year of mandatory supervised release. The plea and sentencing were presided over by Judge Karen Wall.
The People presented evidence that on November 22, 2024, Kyle Blackburn was stopped for a violation of the Illinois Vehicle Code and was arrested for driving while license suspended. Subsequently, officers searched the vehicle and located over 5 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, and small baggies. Blackburn admitted to police that he had been driving another individual around to sell the methamphetamine.
State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy said, “I would like to thank the Danville Police Department for removing another methamphetamine dealer from our streets. The sentence in this case should serve as a clear reminder that we will continue our work with the police to stop drug trafficking in order to protect our community.”
