Rubber Ducky Readers: Join this fun Beanstack Challenge! For every 10 books read, the child will get a rubber duck, every 100 books equal a book, a sticker and a certificate, 1000 books equal a goody bag filled with a book, a sticker, a completion certificate, a stuffed animal, a blow-up rubber duck, etc. This challenge is for ages 0-6. 2026 Hoopla Reading Challenge: Join Hoopla’s year-long challenge! Each month, explore a new curated collection of books, audiobooks, and comics on Hoopla, then pick one (or more!) to enjoy. March 2: March Madness – Book Bracket! Every Monday in March, swing by our Facebook Page or stop into the Library to cast your vote as we pit 8 popular books head‑to‑head! Which title will rise to the top? You decide! Bonus: In celebration of Women’s History Month, every featured book is written by a female author. Come join the fun and help crown our 2026 Book Bracket Champion!
March 3: Teen Crafternoons. Tuesdays = your creative time. Hang out and make cool stuff. No sign-up, no stress. Just show up and create something awesome! This week: Origami– fold, flip, and create amazing paper art. 3:30 – 4:30 PM in the 2nd Floor Teen Space. Ages 13 – 19.
March 3: Tween It! Tuesdays. Fun programs for tweens each Tuesday. This week: 3D Pens. Get your tech on while you learn about 3D Pens. Use software to create your own 3D masterpiece! 5:00 PM in the Program Room. Ages 8-12.
March 3: Wee Wigglers Story Time. Join us for action rhymes, stories, and songs for children ages 5 and under – Tuesdays at 10:00 AM in the Program Room.
March 4: Teen Writing Club. Come write, chill, and connect. No pressure – just good vibes, cool ideas, and a space to be creative. Journals and pens will be provided for our teen writers, along with writing prompts and snacks to fuel your mind. Every Wednesday, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm in the 2nd Floor Teen Space.
March 7: CREATE. Join us on the first Saturday of each month for CREATE! This month, participants can use their talents to design a unique abstract picture using bright colors and shapes. Only 20 spots available; sign up on our website! 1:00 PM in the Howard Rutan Meeting Room. Ages 5-12
March 7: Grady Hendrix Book Club. Calling All Horror Readers! We’re thrilled to announce TWO new Book Club opportunities! Join us the 1st Saturday of every month as we alternate between discussing the works of Grady Hendrix and Stephen King! This month: We’ll be discussing: TheSouthern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix.11 AM – 12 PM in the Program Room.
March 7: Senior Social Hour. Seniors, join us on the first Saturday of every month, for a chance to have coffee and play games together. 9:00 – 10:00 AM in the 2nd Floor Conference Room.
March 7: Story Time. Have a great time listening, interacting to stories and making a fun craft! Saturdays at 11:00 AM in the Children’s Department.
Adult/Teen Craft: Stop by the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor for a take & make craft! Starting March 2, grab a Tiny Canvas Kit! While supplies last.
Coloring Contest for all ages: Color a picture and win a prize. Return entries by the end of the month. Entries will be displayed in the Children’s Room. Winners will be notified. Teen Space: Find a new hang-out spot for teens on the 2nd Floor! Hang out, game, learn, create, and connect, plus enjoy many teen programs! Open Mondays – Thursdays, 3:30 – 5:30 PM, when staff is present. Ages 13 – 19.
