THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville, IL – On February 24, 2026, at approximately 9:57 a.m., officers with the Danville Police Department were dispatched to the area of North Bowman Avenue and East Voorhees Street in reference to a reported stabbing involving a 38-year-old male victim.
Responding officers learned the victim was being transported to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center by personal vehicle. Officers responded to the hospital, where they contacted the victim and initiated an investigation. Through preliminary investigative efforts, officers were able to determine the incident occurred in the 1100 block of Saratoga Street and identify a suspect.
At approximately 12:08 p.m., Anthony Turner, 24, of Danville, Illinois, was located and taken into custody without incident in the 300 block of West English Street. Turner was transported to the Danville Public Safety Building, where he is currently being held on preliminary charges of Aggravated Battery and Aggravated Domestic Battery.
