GOP state legislators Brandun Schweizer and Chapin Rose have both stated support for President Trump’s military efforts in Iran. State Rep Schweizer, a USMC Veteran; says YES, he has family involved, and YES, he believes this had to be done.
AUDIO: I’ve got a nephew that’s over in that area right now; on a ship right now. But, I think when it comes to what took place over there; when their own civilians were trying to protest, and I think 30,000 of them is what we came up with that were murdered in the streets. You know, I think it’s a travesty; and I’m happy to see that we stepped in and finally decided to help all those people over there in that country.
State Senator Rose echoed Schweizer’s support of the mission’s necessity, as well as heartfelt support of those involved.
AUDIO: We offered them nuclear fuel to use in power reactors, and they said “no.” Well, the only reason they’d say “no” is if they want to do something else with that. They can’t have a nuclear weapon. It’s time for them to go. They just got done killing tens of thousands of their own citizens in the last two months, putting down the most recent uprising. And I again, prayers for our brave men and women in the service.
Both Schweizer and Rose were in attendance at Monday (Mar 2nd) morning’s Vermilion County Farm Bureau Legislators Meeting.
