THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY WAR MUSEUM RELEASE
The fourth installment of the Vermilion County War Museum’s First Saturday “Fireside Chat” series will be “Threads of Liberty-Part 2” on March 7th.” The “colorful” program is a follow-up to last month’s event and will focus on Early American uniforms and equipment. It will be presented by Jeremy Brady and Ron Bolser. The program starts at 1:00 p.m. and will last for around 45 minutes with time left for questions.
Museum President Larry Weatherford will host the program. The War Museum is currently in the final stages of remodeling and changing displays, and is closed for tours until early March. Weatherford said, “The Fireside Chats feel like a guided tour through the topic rather than a formal lecture. This gives a relaxed and personal atmosphere with the audience listening in to the conversation and then taking part in the question-and-answer session.”
Admission is free. The monthly “First Saturday” programs celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and Vermilion County’s 200th. These will continue through the end of the year.
