CATLIN — An online threat regarding Salt Fork High School in Catlin caused officials to cancel school on Tuesday.
According to school district officials, “This morning we were made aware of an anonymous online threat towards the high school. As a precaution, we have placed all our buildings on a soft lockdown. While police believe this is most likely a hoax, we have made the decision at this time to cancel all schools for the day.”
Buses departed around 9:30 a.m. taking students home. High school drivers were dismissed with parent permission. Parents also were allowed to pick up their children.
Extra law enforcement were on both campuses as a precaution.
