THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT RELEASE
Many local school districts as well as Danville Area Community College will be on spring break next week. If you are looking for something for the kids to do over the break, the Kennekuk Education Center, Kennekuk County Park, will be open for tours on Thursday, March 19, 2026 from 10am – 1pm. The Gannett Education Center at Forest Glen Preserve will be open the following day, Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10am – 1pm. Come out to learn about Vermilion County native plants and animals, enjoy exhibits, taxidermied animals, and the classrooms.
Kennekuk County Park is located at 22296 Henning Road, Danville, IL, 61834. Forest Glen Preserve is located at 20301 E. 900 North Road, Westville, IL, 61883. Once in the parks, follow the signs to direct you to the Education Centers.
