DANVILLE — Danville School District 118 officials and law enforcement conducted another threat investigation, this time involving North Ridge Middle School.
According to Superintendent John Hart, the district received an anonymous report about a potential threat involving the middle school.
“Thanks to the quick actions of the North Ridge administration and the immediate support of the Danville Police Department, the matter was fully investigated and resolved before school began (Wednesday) morning,” Hart stated to families.
“After a thorough review, the report was determined to be non-credible and at no time were students or staff in danger,” Hart said.
Hart also thanked the parent and student who came forward to share what they heard. This allowed for quick action and to gather accurate information to maintain a safe environment for everyone.
“This is exactly how school communities protect one another by communicating concerns immediately so they can be addressed before they grow,” Hart said.
