DANVILLE — Saturday’s Danville Symphony Orchestra concert, titled “Celebration,” will feature selections that pay tribute to Vermilion County and its history of military and civic service, agriculture and industry, hometown Hollywood entertainers and more.
The concert, set for 7:30 p.m. at Danville High School’s Dick Van Dyke Auditorium, will feature the world premiere of “Where the Rivers Meet,” a piece the orchestra commissioned last year from Illinois-based composer Tim Corpus to highlight the essence of the county.
