THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville, IL – On March 12, 2026, at approximately 3:53 p.m., a Danville Police officer conducting routine patrol in the area of East Main Street and Griffin Street observed multiple individuals engaged in an altercation in the roadway.
Officers immediately intervened and initiated an investigation, during which it was determined that a 34-year-old female had sustained a stab wound during the incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
As a result of the investigation, three juveniles were taken into custody. A 13-year-old female was arrested for Aggravated Assault and Mob Action. A 14-year-old female was arrested for Aggravated Battery – Great Bodily Harm and Mob Action. A 17-year-old female was arrested for Aggravated Battery – Deadly Weapon and Mob Action.
This incident remains under investigation.
