It has become a tradition for Pima Community College’s team to visit the residents at Liberty Estates when they qualify for the NJCAA Tournament at Danville Area Community College. This year, following Pima’s visit on Sunday, March 15th; the home team from DACC stopped by as well. Coach DaJuan Gouard said making visits around the community is normal for his team; but even more important during the tournament; to also settle into a routine of team meals, fun, and even pranks as well.

AUDIO: You know what we do this stuff; visiting schools, nursing homes, getting out in the community; we already do this part throughout the year. But the other parts right now are eating breakfast, pouring salt in people’s water, stuff like that; that hasn’t started yet. But I’m sure it will come tomorrow, after our practice we’re going to go to the gym and watch some games, just guys being around each other.
DACC entered the tournament as the 7th seed, Pima as the fourth seed.
