THE FOLLOWING IS AN ILLINOIS REPUBLICAN CAUCUS RELEASE
State Representative Adam Niemerg (R-DIeterich) said today that he is hearing from Illinois residents who are frustrated about the never-ending tax increases we see in this state, and they’re wondering where their money is getting them.
Niemerg said Illinois taxpayers pay the highest total effective tax rate at 16.58%, the highest in the country….the second highest gas taxes in the country, and to top it all off, the highest property taxes in the country. And now taxpayers are facing a $56 billion budget, a record budget.
Niemerg said Governor Pritzker is not fit to be governor of this state, and he certainly is not fit to be the next president of the United States. The representative told his colleagues they should be demanding accountability from our executive branch. He said Illinois deserves better and the governor, using Illinois taxpayers for woke socialist Marxist political ideology is not leadership, it’s failure.
