On Tuesday, March 31st; Congresswoman Robin Kelly stopped by the Danville Art League to meet participants in her annual art competition. During Tuesday’s reception, Congresswoman Kelly and 104th State House District candidate Mary Catherine Roberson posed with (ABOVE) the congressional district’s 2nd place overall winner, Eris Valdez. Eris is the first ever Danville area artist to place on the top three of Congressional District 2 overall. Her work portrayed the complications of being biracial and feeling like she has to choose an identity. Other pictures from the reception are below:
