Danville, IL — Danville is ready to shine as the Chicago Snowballs bring their firstever appearance to Danville Stadium for an electrifying twoday debut on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, 2026. This historic weekend will celebrate not only the arrival of a new franchise in baseball entertainment, but the pride, passion, and spirit of the Danville community. They will return and play Saturday, August 22 and Sunday, August 23. 2026 as well.
The debut series promises fastpaced action, dancing, singing, trick plays, nonstop energy, and the thrill of witnessing history unfold right here at home. Fans can expect nonstop intensity on the field and an unforgettable atmosphere in the stands as the Snowballs take the spotlight in Central Illinois.

“This debut is about more than just a game—it’s about connecting with the community,” said Ryan Curry, General Manager of the Chicago Snowballs. “Danville has incredible sports pride, and our players are fired up to play in front of fans who truly love the game. We’re proud to bring this moment to a city that embraces competition, fun and community.”
The May 9–10 matchup with the Rocket Squirrels marks a major moment for Danville Stadium as it hosts the start of a new chapter, reinforcing the city’s role as a hub for exciting, familyfriendly sports and entertainment.
“Danville Stadium has always been a place where memories are made,” said Rick Kurth, owner of the Danville Dans. “Hosting the Chicago Snowballs’ debut puts Danville in the spotlight and shows the pride and support our community brings to every big moment.” The Snowballs vs Rocket Squirrels will also return August 22 and 23, 2026.
Throughout the weekend, fans can expect a full gameday, and many special experiences—featuring familyfriendly entertainment, local charities, and special debutthemed activities that bring neighbors, friends, and families together.
