A special meeting of the Vermilion County Board Finance and Personnel Committee; Monday, April 13th at 5 PM; will include consideration of a resolution focused on Vermilion County Animal Shelter improvements. The resolution is for a grant, from the Julius Hegeler II Foundation, worth $2.5 million.
The proposed resolution states that the purpose of the grant would be to “evaluate, develop, and consider alternatives to new construction for facility and operational improvements; including but not limited to renovations, reconfiguration, or other efficiency-enhancing solutions.”
The resolution also states that pending approval by the Finance and Personnel Committee, this item will be placed on the Tuesday, April 21st Vermilion County Board meeting agenda.
For this month, the regular Vermilion County Board meeting is scheduled for the third Tuesday, rather than the second, due to many of Vermilion County’s 19 townships having special meetings on Tuesday the 14th.
