TILTON — Complaints of waterlines being hit and properties being damaged have been increasing from residents, villages and townships with broadband internet expansion in the area.
A noon meeting on Monday with state Rep. Brandun Schweizer at Tilton Village Hall aims to address the issues and concerns.
Westville-Belgium Sanitary District representatives were looking for a meeting place to address the issues as a group with village, county, township, municipality and utility company officials invited.
The sanitary district on its website has a notice to contractors, utility companies and private parties that lists all the requirements about underground work, utility boring, directional drilling, trenchless installation or underground construction within the sanitary district service area — including unincorporated areas such as Hegeler Home Gardens.
