DANVILLE — For the first time in the college’s history, Danville Area Community College is hosting a State of the College address.
DACC President Randy Fletcher’s address will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Shaner Theater inside the Bremer Conference Center, 2000 E. Main St.
Those who have been invited to attend include economic development, business, industry and other community leaders.
“The public is definitely invited,” Fletcher said.
Fletcher said he’s already given his approximately one-hour address internally to faculty, staff and administration.
Wednesday’s presentation is for external stakeholders and partners to learn more about the college and its current state from its students to its financial forecast, Fletcher said.
He said he’ll also be talking about his goals as DACC’s 8th president.
Fletcher was hired in December 2024. He said it’s now been about a year and a half of listening, observing, talking with community members and now reorganization.
