After a Tuesday afternoon (April 14th) initial appearance and detention hearing at the Edgar County Courthouse for the three suspects in the attack on Danville Alderman Jaleel Jones and two of his cousins; during a Friday, April 3rd fishing outing at White Oaks Park in Paris; two of the three are now facing charges that include Attempted First Degree Murder.
HERE IS THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE:
Following an initial appearance and detention hearing concerning the incident at White Oaks Park on Friday, April 3, at approximately 11:36 p.m., the Paris Police Department is issuing this statement regarding the formal charges presented by the Edgar County State’s Attorney Office:
– Jordan J. Kollman: Charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and Hate
Crime (Involving Mob Action). The suspect was denied release and was remanded to the custody of the Edgar County Sheriff’s Office. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 24th, 2026, at 10:00 AМ.
– Jesse L. Kollman: Charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder and Hate Crime (Involving Mob Action). The suspect was denied release and was remanded to the
custody of the Edgar County Sheriff’s Office. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April, 24th, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
– Jayden A. Reynolds: Charged with Mob Action on April 10, 2026. The initial court appearance is scheduled for April 20, 2026, at 1:30 PM.
