This weekend the Seven Point of Illinois Cannabis Dispensary will be celebrating the 4/20 global counterculture-cannabis consumption holiday, Friday through Monday.
Seven Point CEO Brad Zerman says the whole 4/20 thing was after his time, but he very quickly learned the story about some youngsters in California, and how 4/20 was later adjusted to mean “the 20th of April.”
AUDIO: Back when I was kid there was no 4/20, it was just whatever. And then, when I got into the business, like about ten years ago, I started hearing people at conferences talk about 4/20. And I had no idea what it was until then.

Zerman says the great thing about the music this weekend is acts that have been playing Fridays and Saturdays since the Smoke Lab Lounge opened will now be coming back for a special encore, taking turns on two stages; one in the lounge, one in the dispensary.
AUDIO: We invited all the artists that have come to the Smoke Lab since we opened in January, and we invited them all to come back this weekend to celebrate the cannabis holiday. We’re having 4-by-20. So that’s four days, 20 sets of music, on two stages.
Seven Point of Illinois is located at 380 Eastgate Drive in Danville, off of Lynch Road,
