ABOVE: A vehicle still sits in a flooded area on the south side of Poland Road, one-half mile east of Bowman Avenue, hours after a Sunday morning rescue at approximately 1 AM. The Vermilion Co Sheriff’s Office reported ten people rescued by boat in five different flooding incidents, with no loss of life or major injury, including three people rescued from this car.
The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department reported that Saturday night to Sunday morning heavy rains resulted in ten people being rescued by boat in five different incidents.

The incidents included one, involving three people, around 1 AM, rescued from a car along the south side of Poland Road, about one-half mile east of Bowman Avenue. Another rescue incident, around 6:30 AM, was reported at the Junction Road bridge, in the Junction – Seminary intersection area.
