Due to all the stormy weather of the last few weeks, the City of Danville will be making some temporary changes at Danville City Hall. Prior to Tuesday’s (June 23rd) City Council Public Services Committee meeting, Mayor Ricky Williams, Jr stated that due to various roof problems that have caused some water infiltration and mold, the city Legal and Inspections offices will be temporarily moving to the Public Works Building at 1155 East Voorhees.
In addition, the city comptroller and account specialists will be relocating temporarily to a different first floor location, in the Danville Municipal Building at 17 West Main Street. Mayor Williams says it will probably take four to six weeks for contractors to arrive, and about a week to do the necessary work to restore proper air circulation. The mayor says more information will be presented to the public once everyone gets resettled.
